Attention all fox hunters!
FoxStop 2011 will now conclude at the end of September.
With the program wrapping up a month earlier than scheduled, organisers have cleared out the prize cupboard and the prize packs are at bursting point.
You need to have five fox killls to be eligible for the Grand Final Draw, while just one kill will put you in the running for September's Monthly Draw.
As well as the Can-Am Spyder that is on offer, there is still eight Winchester Firearms up for grabs!
It's not too late to register for the program, so get in to the running today. It takes less than a minute to register and it could put you in the running for some great prizes.
See Yourself on a Spyder? Get on board FoxStop 2011...
The Can-Am Spyder RS Motorcycle could be all yours, just for participating in FoxStop 2011.
Simply register at least five foxes between now and October 31 to be in the draw.
The prize pool for 2011 is impressive with over $80,000 in rewards up for grabs, including 20 shotguns from Winchester Australia.
What better time is there than now to help rid the state of its most persistent pest? Remember, the more foxes you shoot, the better your chance to win.
The draw for this program will take place in November.
But remember - you MUST be a FGA or SSAA-Vic member to participate and win big, so ensure your membership is up to date.
What are you waiting for? Get out there and bring those foxes to a dead stop...
FoxStop 2011
FoxStop 2011 is all about activity and participation. The program is open to all Field and Game Australia and SSAA-Vic members. Grab a Mate or Form a Team and get out there and bring those foxes to a dead stop.
The 2011 program will commence on April 1 and run through to October 31. The Grand Final Draw will be held in November and will include all members who have taken five (5) or more foxes throughout the year.
SSAA-Vic and FGA members are invited to register on line and start recording every fox they take. It's time to sharpen those fox hunting skills and rid the state of our most persistent pest.
How will it work?
All FGA and SSAA-Vic members holding a Victorian shooters license are encouraged to participate. Foxes taken by registered members need to be entered into our database and every month starting in April, we will draw heaps of prizes.
In November we will have a major prize draw that includes a Can-Am Spyder motorcycle and a long list of other great goodies.
Prizes
The FoxStop 2011 prize list will continue to grow and grow and grow!!!!!!
The Victorian Government has provided a base level of funding for prizes and we will be spending $80,000 to establish the prize pool. At the same time we are inviting businesses to join the program adding to the prize pool right across the lifetime of the program.
Check which companies and organisations that are supporting FoxStop 2011 and support them wherever you can. Even if you're just passing their door thank them for their participation and let them know you appreciate their support.
The Rules
FoxStop has definite rules.
When you register you DO need to acknowledge that you have read and understand the rules.
To claim FoxStop prizes you will need to keep your records clear and verifiable. The FoxStop Coordinating committee is keen to see every member participate and, have fun and win big. But we will need you to verify and declare that the foxes you enter have been taken according to the rules and can be vouched for by a witness.
So start a log, take your camera or phone camera along when you hunt. Date stamped photos are especially good. Show your foxes to land owners and fellow hunters. Brag about your tally.
To be sure .. to be sure !
Read the rules.
FoxStop 2011 does NOT ask you to keep any part of the foxes you take. We do NOT want scalps or tails. Please dispose of the entire fox in a way that is respectful and safe.
The FoxStop program relies on you to play the game in a fair and honest way. We will however be asking you to verify individual foxes taken if you win a major prize for that fox. The one thing we are very sure of is that fox hunters know other fox hunters, FGA members know other FGA members and SSAA-Vic members know other SSAA-Vic members. There is very little excuse for not having a respected mate or a land owner verify your tally. This is about participation and camaraderie.
